Chlamydia screening

Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the UK.

Testing for chlamydia is done with a urine test or a swab test. You don't always need a physical examination by a nurse or doctor.

Anyone can get a free and confidential chlamydia test from the surgery.

Breast screening

About one in eight women in the UK are diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. There's a good chance of recovery if it's detected in its early stages, the earlier the condition is found, the better the chances of surviving it. The screening involves an X- ray test called a mammogram that can spot cancers when they are too small to see or feel.

Bowel cancer screening aims to detect cancer at an early stage when treatment is more likely to work. It can also help to prevent bowel cancer from developing in the first place.
